work in process

A few days ago I've finished Giralda's drawing in b/w. Photo moments before I end it definitively:

working hard

In April of last year, someone contracted me to do a few drawings of the Sacred Family. ("Sagrada Familia", Barcelona)

Here is the final result:

I did three diferent versions: the first one, "colour", is painted by soft pastels. For the second one, (b/w) I use a pencil (0,5 mine). And the last image is a watercolour version.

A few days ago, this "someone" called me again. Now he wants me to draw more emblematic buildings of Spain. I've begun for "Giralda" (Seville). This one is a small detail of the process.

I just hope to finish this commissioned work very soon. Days are running quickly and I just want to enjoy summer!

"...with myself"

"Tengo el tintero a punto de estallar
Y todas las cosas que olvidé apuntar
Y mi tinta no pinta …
Yo no sabía que había salivas con gustos tan fuertes …"

Illustration Friday: Subtract

First entry!

I've already a blog, a personal blog. In fact, I'm also in Flickr, in Talenthouse, in Livejournal and, last but not least, I've a Digital Portfolio. It can seem absurd to create a new blog, isn't it? Specially if I write in English, because I don't speak English very well!

So, why have I created a new blog, here: in blogspot?

Simply: I like blogspot. It's easy to use. I've many friends in blogspot. It's a way of keep on learning English. I follow many blogs of blogspot which I can't comment for not having a google account and... because I want to do it! :)

I've the small-bad-habit of mixing subjects at the blog... But I'll try to use this blog exclusively to show my illustrations. (I think that it will be difficult!) :P

Finally, I expect you to enjoy reading / glancing this blog. And, as Nacho Gómez says: "your comments feed my blog" :)
